Supporting the Creation of Shareable, Compliant, and Useful ZTC Materials (Open discussion) (UCEN 325)
The legislation authorizing the ZTC grant funding identifies Cool4Ed as the required platform for sharing ZTC grant outputs. But faculty and colleges still need to determine the platform(s) that best fit their courses/course materials. Further, the legislation requires those materials to be compliant with copyright and accessibility standards. How are colleges supporting that compliance? How can the state better support colleges with all of this? This is envisioned as a brainstorming, open discussion.
Facilitated by Jim Julius, Faculty Coordinator, Online Education, Mira Costa College and Sally Potter, Department Chair of English for Multi-Lingual Students/Linguistics, Fresno City College
The ASCCC Open Educational Resources Initiative (OERI): Resources and Services to Support Your ZTC Pathway Development (UCEN 327)
Establishing a sustainable ZTC pathway can be accomplished when faculty commit to doing the work and they are supported to do so. The OERI’s statewide OER infrastructure can assist you in your ZTC journey, whether you are new to OER or are an experienced OER author who wants to share their work but is hesitant to do so. Join us for an overview of the available resources to prepare you for OER work and the available services to support that work.
Facilitated by Shagun Kaur, Project Facilitator, ASCCC OERI and Professor of Communication Studies, De Anza College, and Michelle Pilati, Project Director, ASCCC OERI and Professor of Psychology, Rio Hondo College
